1. Overview

Shizumo (the “App”) does not require account creation/sign-in and processes minimal data.

2. Data We Collect

• The App does not transmit personal data to our servers.
• Microphone permission (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) is used only to calculate sound level (dB).
• The App does not record, store, or transmit raw audio.

3. Purpose of Use

• Real-time noise level (dB) measurement and display
• In-app visualization/graphs

4. Data Stored

• App settings (language/theme, place baselines, etc.)
• Measurement history (session summaries: time/place/baseline, avg/min/max, ratios, etc.)

All data is stored locally on the user’s device.

5. Third-Party Services (Ads)

• To keep the app free, a banner ad may be shown in Android/iOS release builds. For this, the app may use the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK.
• When serving ads, Google may process certain information such as device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, and diagnostic data. This processing is governed by Google’s policies and your device settings.
• The app does not store or transmit raw microphone audio for advertising or analytics.

6. Permission Control

Users can revoke microphone permission anytime in system Settings.
