MS에서 제공한 이번 윈도우 7의 에디션 별 차이점이라고 합니다. 비스타와 마찬가지로 일반 사용자들은 홈 프리미엄, 고급 사용자들은 프로페셔널 또는 얼티밋을 선택하실 테지만 아무튼 알아두면 좋을 것 같아서요.. ^_^

그리고 윈도우 7의 최저 설치 사양도 공식적으로 알려졌습니다.

I am a user interface tester on the Internet Explorer team and one of my favorite things about any application is the ability to personalize the program to give it your own look and feel.

I am never content with ubiquitous one-size fits-all solutions and really look forward to products that value user choice. I’m excited that IE8 now has some personalization options and this cycle I have been fortunate to work on two such features  IE8 Look and Feel (customizations around the Command bar) and the Smart Address bar.

저번주의 만담 이후.. 저번주 만담을 기억하시나요? Winkey 쌤과 꼬알라의 Windows 7 만담 시리즈 12편! - 편리한 장치 관리 에서 Device Stage에 대한 이야기를 드렸었는데요. 해당 Device Stage에 대해 조금더 자세히 써보려고 합니다.

흠.. 새로운 하드웨어, 예를 들어, 프린터라던가.. 아니면 요즘 많이들 가지고 다니시는 PMP나 스마트폰, 또는 카메라와 같은 것을 새롭게 구입하셨다면 어떤 것이 추가로 컴퓨터에서 필요할까요? 조금 질문이 두리뭉실한가요?

  1. 박스를 뜯는다
  2. 하드웨어를 꺼내서 뿌듯해한다
  3. 하드웨어 커넥터와 컴퓨터를 연결한다
  4. 드라이버가 인식되면, 적절하게 사용하거나, 추가적인 응용 프로그램을 설치해서 사용한다
  5. 드라이버가 인식되지 않으면, 박스안에 시디를 꺼내서, 드라이버를 설치하고.. 추가적인 응용 프로그램을 설치해서 사용한다
  6. (파워유저의 경우) 추가적으로 하드웨어 벤더의 홈페이지에 접속하여, 새로운 드라이버나 펌웨어를 확인한다

Windows Vista has been a very efficient as well as power hungry OS for me. On my Acer Aspire 5710 notebook, it shows more battery time than Windows XP, which is probably because my notebook is Vista Capable. But when doing normal tasks such as word processing, emailing or instant messaging, the battery drains really fast.

베타(빌드 7000) 이후 추가되거나 바뀐 RC(빌드 7100)의 변경사항입니다. 전체적인 체감 성능의 향상 외에도 자잘한 부분에서 많은 변화가 있었네요.. ^_^

출시는 5월 아닌가요? 2009년 5월 발표로 예정되었던 윈도우비스타 Service Pack 2 (이하 비스타SP2) 의 정식버전이 외부로 누출되었습니다. 아마도 MSDN 이나 Technet 유료가입자 중 한명이 토런트를 통해 배포 한 것으로 추측 됩니다. 누출된 버전은 지난 08년 1월 비스타SP1 누출때와 다르게, 모든언어에 적용 가능한 버전이며 용량은 약 500MB 에 이릅니다. 즉 한국어 버전의 비스타에서도 적용이 가능합니다. 외형상의 큰 변화점은 없으나, 윈도우7 출시 직전의 마지막 서비스 팩 으로서 하드웨어 지원과 보안강화 등 지금까지 나온 패치와 함께 OS의 안정회를 꾀 한 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 비스타SP2 에서 변화된 부분은 다음과 같이 정리 할 수 있습니다.
